Yesterday it was reported that friends of Peaches Geldof were in fear for her life due to her sudden weight-loss, and worry that she’d started taking drugs again. However peaches has now spoken out, insisting that she doesn’t ‘do drugs’.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, she said: “I’m not on drugs. If people feel the need to validate my weight loss by saying I’m on drugs then shame on them. I’ve changed my diet and the way I live. That’s it. The marks on my arms have been there since childhood. Check any picture – it’s caused by a skin condition called psoriasis.”
She continued: “My mum was thin naturally, like I am now. So is my sister Pixie. I was eating so badly before now and then I stopped and it has fallen off. The truth is I just didn’t want to treat my body badly anymore. I got avian flu and that kick-started the change. I was never fat – it was just the fact that my diet was so unhealthy.”
It was reported earlier in the week that an ambulance was called to her home on Tuesday night, where they apparently found a man “in respiratory arrest”. Peaches denied this report, saying: “As for the 30-year-old man OD-ing in my house, it’s not true and my lawyers are dealing with this. It’s about time people stopped thinking the worst of me. It’s becoming very boring.”
