Geri Halliwell cut a lonely figure on a night out to celebrate her 39th birthday this weekend and the news of her split from Henry Beckwith followed shortly after her solo sighting.
According to reports, the couple who have been dating for just over two years, came to blows over his partying ways.
A source told the Sun: "Geri came to the realisation that things weren't going to work with Henry.
"The age gap meant he had a wandering eye when it came to other women and he was interested in partying. She doesn't trust him."
It is also thought that Henry wasn't keen to play dad to Geri and ex Sacha Gervasi's daughter Bluebell.
The source revealed that Geri's sister has been trying to lift her spirits: "They are still close but Geri is very upset.
"Natalie has been supporting her."
A spokesperson for the former Spice Girl has refused to comment on the reports.
