We're a bit obsessed with Barbra Streisand having only just got round to watching Funny Girl a few weeks ago. So when we first heard rumours that Lea Michele would be starring as Fanny Brice in a revival of the hit musical, we weren't that fussed.
However, after watching the movie, we couldn't think of anyone better than the Glee beauty to take on the iconic role when it hits Broadway next year.
But sadly, it looks as though Lea won't be stepping into her idols shoes as E!News has reported that Six Feet Under actress, Lauren Ambrose is the favourite to land the role.
However, with the news that Lea's Glee character is set to graduate from McKinley High at the end of series 3, we're holding out hope that she could still be in the running to land the part!
Funny Girl is expected to debut on Broadway next spring, following a month-long stint in Los Angeles.
