Leighton Meester sent her mother Constance a monthly allowance of $7,500 to help pay for her sick brothers medical fees.
However, according to the suit launched by Leighton, Constance spent the money on cosmetic procedures instead. The Gossip Girl star also alleges that her mother threatened to sue her for $3 million if she did not raise the monthly allowance to $10, 000.
Constance is not taking this lying down and is counter suing her daughter, claiming that Leighton has backed out of financial promises and even physically attacked her in December last year. She also claims that she has made several personal sacrifices to help forward Leighton's acting career.
A source close to the star spoke to People magazine and said: "This whole thing's been really tough on Leighton. Her only concern has always been taking care of her brother.
"Leighton's really close with her brother and her dad – her parents are divorced. Leighton's a sweet girl."
She's just an ordinary girl with a sweet tooth!
