The news that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were splitting up after seven years together, surprised us. We thought that the couple, who have twins Max and Emee were strong.
But it appears as though they weren't as strong as we first thought. Reports have suggested that their marriage broke down has happened as a result of Marc being too controlling and Jennifer's mum moving in soon after the star gave birth.
However, and we're just puting it out there, could the fact that Jennifer wanted to return to American Idol have played a role in the break up? It has been widely rumoured that Marc didn't want Jen to return to the eleventh season of the hit show because he wanted her to spend time with their family, but did Jen disagree?
Last week we reported on the news that Jen had unofficially signed the contract to return to judge the show alongside Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, around the time that Jennifer was spotted attending the BAFTA gala without her wedding ring to meet Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Of course, we're just speculating, but could there be truth in it? What do you think?
