Pink gave birth to her and husband Carey Hart's first child together earlier this month and the pair named their daughter Willow Sage.
And now the So What star has revealed why the couple settled on the unusual name for their first born.
In an interview with Hello!, Pink explained: "I grew up near one. It is the most flexible tree and nothing can break it - no wind, no elements. It can bend and withstand anything. I love that sentiment and I want that for her.
"Sage is cleansing and sacred and it sounds great with Willow. It doesn't hurt that her last name is Hart - flexible, cleansed heart."
The singer, clearly relishing her new role as a mother, admitted that she's looking forward to seeing Willow grow up and achieve things for the first time. She said: “I look forward to her 'firsts'. The first time she puts her feet in the ocean, the first time she feels the rain, the first time she sings, laughs.
"We can't wait to take her on our adventures, tour, supercross. She is so lucky that she'll have the ability to travel to all the different countries and cultures and see so much."
