Take That’s Gary Barlow has revealed that bandmate Robbie Williams is a huge fan of Big Brother and that he was annoyed that Channel 4 decided to drop it last year.
Gary Barlow has said to the Daily Star: “I stay at Rob’s house now when I go out to LA and I have a great time. But he’s hooked on reality telly so he only ever wants to talk about Big Brother.”
Last year Robbie blamed the removal of the show on the public, saying: “I love Big Brother and I have to say to the general population – you’ve got it wrong. I know you’ve fallen out of love with it but I don’t want it to go away.” He is now said to be beside himself with excitement about the shows return on Channel 5.
Director of programmes at Channel 5, Jeff Ford, said: “It is a really exciting time for us as we scour the country to find the next generation of Big Brother housemates. My message to anyone tempted is go for it – in a few months you could be a resident in the most famous house in Britain.”
Live auditions for the new series start this Friday at the Old Trafford football ground in Manchester, with the next round taking place at the Emirates Stadium in London on the 18th and 19th of this month.
Wannabes have been told that they can just turn up on the day. Are you going to try you luck and see if you can win a place in the house? What would you do to make yourself stand out in the crowd?
