Spider-Man Crew Get Trapped Above New York

Crew members working on The Amazing Spider-Man found themselves trapped high above New York City after their crane broke down.

Three production workers were setting up camera equipment on a rooftop in Mahattan, shooting scenes for the Andrew Garfield-led Marvel reboot.

The crane, which was used to hoist them up to the top of the building, broke down on Monday morning (23rd May), leaving the workers stranded six storeys above the ground, according to the New York Post.

Emergency services were called out, with a fire engine dramatically using a cherrypicker to bring the crew down.

The Amazing Spider-Man is due for release on July 4th, 2012.
