Eminem seems destined to return to Hollywood, with news filtering through that the rapper is currently looking at a number of film scripts.
Eminem has only made the odd movie appearance since the 2002 hit 8 Mile, but has now said the time is right to look for new material.
He told MTV News: "There are some things in the [works], couple of scripts. I guess it's more so of just waiting now to see how they come together.
"Obviously it's gotta be something that I feel is dope enough to make me want to say, 'Okay, let me put the mic down for a second and go do this movie'".
Eminem received rave reviews for his portrayal of young rapper Jimmy Smith in 8 Mile, but he admits that acting requires many different skills.
He said: "You may be used to performing to the camera and you may be used to doing certain things in videos and things like that, but it's a whole different ballgame when the music is off and you have lines you need to say. It takes a minute to get used to."
Eminem was reported to have been approached to star in the crime thriller Random Acts of Violence back in January.
