Remember the time when Justin Bieber played in a charity basketball match for NBA? Superfan Mark Wahlberg certainly does...
And he was so inspired by the game that he's in talks with Justin to make a movie about it. Well, ok, not about that particular match. But a movie about the teen star playing basketball.
So what does Wahlberg have in mind for the project? Hmm. Something based around street basketball, with a "reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment," according to New York Magazine. So, we're going to guess that Justin will be a kid with the talent to make it big, only he lacks self-belief. Cue a gruff ex-pro to show him the way. Or something to that effect, anyway.
Will Wahlberg be breaking his two decade long hip-hop silence? Will Justin pull some fast dance moves? We just don't know. In fact, lthe movie doesn't even have a title yet. We kinda want it to be I'm A Belieber but we don't think Wahlberg would be too keen on that. All we can say is, with Paramount and the star way into the idea, it's bound to work out ok in the end.
