Just a week or so after Bradley Cooper pointed Renee Zellweger out in the audience, during an appearance on a US chat show, the couple ended their relationship.
The pair had been dating since the summer of 2009 and despite no word from the couple's representation, it has been widely reported that it is all over.
And now it is being speculated as to why the couple ended their romance, with some sources claiming Bradley's blossoming acting career was to blame.
A source told US Weekly: "If I had to pick any possible mistress it would be Brad's career. He worked really hard to get into leading man status.
"Renée had to take a backseat. She travelled with him to make it work."
The source also claimed that Renee was more committed- to making their relationship work: "She's accomplished a lot of her professional goals. So Renée took some time out to be a great girlfriend and see if this is what it took to make a relationship work.”
However, they added; "She stopped fighting. It was just not working out."
