A month after seemingly blowing his chances of ever hosting another Hollywood awards show again, Ricky Gervais has been asked to return to the Golden Globes next year.
Ricky has already hosted the ceremony twice, but is unsure about doing it for a third year.
Speaking to Heat magazine, Gervais said: "The ratings went up again, and the organisers asked me to consider a third year. I don't think I should. I don't know what I could do better. I certainly couldn't get more press for them, that's for sure."
He said that the aim this year was, "to improve on last year's show and have a laugh," adding, "The response was staggering. It was discussed on every news channel and chat show for weeks."
Despite all the outrage in America, the comedian insist he didn't go too far, claiming: "I have yet to find anyone who was actually offended by it. I'm sorry if they were offended but I'm not sorry for anything I said."
Gervais added, "I don't think I did anything wrong, honestly. Those were like jibes at these people and I'm sure they've got a sense of humour."
Perhaps unwittingly helping himself, Gervais has just made a cameo role in the American version of his BBC show, The Office.
