The question surrounding the paternity of Elton John and David Furnish's son is still in question after the couple admitted that either of them could be Zachary's biological father.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, the couple revealed that they both "contributed" to the creation of their son who was born three weeks ago to a surrogate mother.
David said: “For the time being we don’t have a clue who the biological father is. We look at him every day and at the moment he has Elton’s nose and my hands.”
Elton added: “If he wants to know, we can do a DNA test.”
David went on to reveal that the surrogate mother, who gave birth to Zachary on Christmas Day didn't know she was carrying their baby until well into the pregnancy.
“We had to be interviewed by psychologists. Then our surrogate chose us from an anonymous profile. It’s her choice too. Initially we both used pseudonyms and we got to know her by telephone. Then one day she figured out who we were.”
