Charlie Sheen is playing down the events that saw him carted off to hospital early on Tuesday morning following a night of partying with a prostitute at The Plaza Hotel in New York.
The actor – whose ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters were also staying at the hotel – is believed to have been drinking and taking cocaine before trashing his room as he tried to find his wallet and mobile phone, prompting the hooker to hide in the bathroom.
But Charlie insists things aren’t as bad as they seem.
He told RadarOnline.com: “The story is totally overblown and overplayed as far as the reality of the scenario.”
However, it seems we won’t be getting his side of the story, because he added: “I know what went down and that’s where it will stay…under wraps.”
Charlie checked out of the New York Presbyterian Hospital on Tuesday, following a psychiatric evaluation.
It’s reported Charlie will continue with his work commitments, which includes starting work on the new season of Two and a Half Men on Friday.
We hope Charlie doesn't end up like any of this lot:
