Nadine Coyle continues to distance herself from her Girls Aloud band mates, this time by taking a sly pop at Cheryl Cole for miming on The X Factor.
The Irish singer at first appears to defend Cheryl’s decision to lip-synch part of her ‘live’ performance of new single Promise This on Sunday’s results show.
“What happens with TV shows is you can't always do things live,” she said.
“They have a lot of dummy stuff sat there and you can't really get the full effect.”
But Nadine can’t help making it clear that she would never do such a thing herself.
''Because I'm just starting off [with my solo career], I want it to be all about doing stuff live,” she added.

Nadine also told Metro that she doesn’t watch The X Factor because she doesn’t like the judges’ (of which Cheryl is, of course, one) criticism of the contestents.
“I don't watch The X Factor,” she said. “I hate it when the judges say bad things about the singing. I feel sick because I feel it's mean.”
Nadine - who is now based in Los Angeles - has admitted not being in contact Girls Aloud band mates Cheryl, Kimberly Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts, though denies that there's any bad feeling between her and the other girls.
Still, we won’t be holding our breath for a Girls Aloud comeback any time soon – at least not one with Nadine in the line-up.
