Having had to stay in a confined space with her ex-husband, it came as no surprise that Chatelle Houghton's feelings for Preston came flooding back.
The nation watched as the couple, who split in 2007 after just 10 months together, seemed to rekindle their love for each other when they appeared in the Ultimate Big Brother house.
However, just days after Chantelle and Preston left the UBB house, they were accused for having a “showmance” in order to get money, something that Chantelle flatly denies, claiming that her love for the former Ordinary Boys singer was real.
In an interview with Heat, the reality star said: “When I left the house, all I wanted was closure. But when Preston saw how I was feeling in the house, it opened it up again and gave me hope we could get back together. He told me that he was in love with me and he still really fancied me, and I obviously got really upset."
Knowing that her feelings for Preston hadn't changed, Chantelle went on to reveal that she was surprised that Preston's had.
“He was so confusing because he was saying that he really didn’t want to be in the celebrity thing and I was like, 'But why did you go back on Big Brother?'
The reality star also admitted that Preston dumped her by text, saying: “By the way, I made that up. I wanted to make you jealous. I’m sorry. Oops'.”
Not content with breaking her heart once, Preston also released a statement on Twitter, about his relationship with Chantelle.
It read: “Chantelle is an astonishing girl. She is stunning. She is enchanting. She is entertaining. She is also my ex-wife. It is this final attribute, which makes me feel privileged to call her a friend and nothing more.”
