Lindsay Lohan’s Twitter drug confession may not have been as heartfelt as it seemed, according to a new report.
As we reported previously, the actress and veteran of four rehab attempts took to the micro blogging site to own up to two failed court-ordered drug tests that might land her back in jail.
"I'm taking responsibility for my actions and am prepared to face the consequences," she wrote.
"I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard, but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful….Thank you all!!!"
However, an insider who claims to have witnessed Lindsay constructing the message on her Blackberry at Hollywood eatery Magnolia says the star treated her apology as a joke.
When her companions offered Lindsay advice on what to write, she reportedly “giggled" and asked her assistant to get her another Jack Daniels and Coke.

The witness also told US Weekly that the star joked about drinking whiskey while writing her "apology", telling her group "What are you gonna do? I'm 'ill'."
Lindsay is due back in court on Friday to hear whether she faces jail time for the failed tests. We hope she sobers up in time for that.
