Robbie Williams has revealed that he was so overwhelmed at the sight of Kylie Minogue’s naked body – that he laughed in her face.
Rob lost it while filming the video for their duet Kids, which features a steamy scene at the end where Kylie drops her robe and joins him in a pool.
Apparently, he had been trying – and failing - to charm Kylie throughout the shoot.
“I couldn’t figure out why my banter wouldn’t work, why my natural ability to just be myself went awry,” he writes in new biography You Know Me.
This being before Rob’s clean living days, he decided to arm himself with Dutch courage courtesy of some Drambuie liquor.
But the tactic backfired when Kylie stripped down to a tiny G-string for her pool entrance.
He reveals: “I just burst out laughing. Which I don’t think went down well with Kylie. I may have offended her too, because she must have felt vulnerable too, being naked on set, and being naked in front of me.
“I think that any chance of anything disappeared when I laughed at her. Perhaps she likes being naked, but she probably doesn’t enjoy being laughed at by some Stokie idiot.”
Luckily, Rob managed to find someone who is into Stokie idiots, and married American actress Ayda Field last month.
