Preston has revealed that if it was up to him, he and ex-wife Chantelle Houghton would have reconciled much sooner than in the Ultimate Big Brother house this year.
In fact, Preston was such a wreck without the blonde beauty in his life that he was even prescribed anti-depressants.
The Ordinary Boys star admitted to OK!: "I started talking loads of sleeping pills. I was on anti-depressants. I didn't take it well at all."
During the interview he told Chantelle: "Once I got to America, I thought, maybe we can sit down and talk about it and just see where we went wrong. But it never happened.
"I bought you a plane ticket to come over and have a chat and try and see if we could sit down and sort some things out."
She replied: "You went off to America, Preston. I thought, oh, he doesn't care, he's got his new life. I didn't know that's what it was for."
