Cheryl Cole is offically a single lady after her divorce from Ashley Cole took less than 60 seconds to finalise at 10.10am this morning.

The star, who is currently in LA was not at the hearing where Ashley Cole admitted "unresonable behaviour" as the reason for the legal split.

According to the Mirror, Cheryl spoke of how she felt about today, saying:

"Thank God the nightmare is over."
