After months of separation, Cheryl Cole will officially divorce her husband and footballer Ashley Cole later today at the High Court.
According to the Daily Mail, Cheryl will be granted a decree nisi, which will bring her four-year marriage to Ashley Cole to an end.
The couple's marriage hit the rocks when it was alleged that Ashley had been having a series of flings with other women.
It is thought that Cheryl, who has built up her own little empire, wants “nothing” from her ex and wants the proceedings to be “quick and painless.”
Ever since Cheryl announced she was divorcing Ashley, we've always wondered whether Cheryl would change her mind and take him back, but a source has revealed that Cheryl is in fact happy to be divorcing the cheating footballer.
“Cheryl is absolutely thrilled. It's been a long summer for her after coming down with malaria but now she is on the mend and this is welcome news.”
Although this is an important day for Chez, neither her or Ashley will be in the court hearing.
