There has been much speculation as to whether or not Cheryl Cole would return to her maiden name of Cheryl Tweedy after splitting from Ashley Cole.
But now the news we've all been waiting for is here. Cheryl will be remaining a Cole despite her imminent divorce from the footballer.
The Sun has reported that Cheryl is gearing up to release her second solo album, a follow up to the successful 3 Words, under the name Cheryl Cole. A sure sign that the singer is planning on keeping her married name for good.
A source told the newspaper: "Cheryl has decided her married name will stay. She feels the most successful period of her career has been under the name Cole.
"She's established in Europe. Going back to her maiden name Tweedy would be confusing.
"It also shows she is bigger than Ashley and prepared to be grown up about a difficult time in her life. She is a fan of Tina Turner. Tina was divorced during her career but decided to stick with her married name because it was how she was best known."
The newspaper also revealed that Cherly will perform her new single on The X Factor in October.
