Sad news for any Twilight fans who were hoping to see Taylor Lautner in the new X-Men movie.

Taylor will not be appearing in X-Men: First Class as his busy work schedule has prevented him from signing up.

According to OK!, the movie's producer, Bryan Singer said: "I wanted Taylor [Lautner] to do it, I really did. He's doing a movie in Pittsburgh called Abduction and then he's got the next Twilight movie.

“We talked about it a lot, he is a friend, and I really wanted to make it work. It just doesn't look like it's possible to do it."

If Taylor had been signed up he would have been filming in London! So close, yet so far...
