So Louis Walsh has a crush on Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell has confirmed the news, so it must be true.

Singer Nicole been standing in for Cheryl Cole whilst she's been suffering from malaria, and it seems as though Louis is more than delighted with the new addition to the X-Factor panel.

The silly little Irish man has gone all giggly and has been following Nicole like a leech (not sure if these are quite the right flirting tactics Louis).

Simon told the Daily Star: “He’s definitely in love. Louis hasn’t smiled like this for a long time. He’s like a lamb on a spring day – I’ve never seen him like this, it’s very sweet.”

But then Si did something really odd and started talking in riddles saying:

“It’s like a duckling who’s been rescued by a dog and the duckling then follows the dog around thinking the dog is its mother.”

So have we got this right? Is he really calling Nicole Scherzinger a dog? We're not sure she's going to be to happy about that Si.
