Vanessa Hudgens has spoken out about the nude photo scandal that plagued her in 2007 and again in 2009.

The 21-year-old star of the High School Musical franchise issued a public apology when the nude photos of her surfaced on the internet, but her squeaky clean Disney image was tarnished.

The photos were taken by Vanessa and were meant to be seen by her boyfriend Zac Efron and no-one else.

The actress has told US Glamour magazine:"I think it has made me stronger.

"But it still hurts. It sucks because the photos were supposed to be private."
