At last, we feel as though we have some affinity with Alex Reid! The husband of Katie Price has confessed that he was “dubious” when his missus let him in oin her plans for a pop career.

Katie is planning to release a single on July 12 and luckily for us, we're away on holiday that week. Phew, a close call we think you'll agree.

And just when we thought we might give Alex a second chance, the cage fighter ruined his chances of a reconcilliation with us by admitting he thinks the single is 'actually good'. Riiggghhtt....

In his Star magazine column, Alex said: "I was quite dubious when Katie first said she was going to release a single - and then I heard it! It is actually good."

So close, yet so far, eh Alex?!
