Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy have finally been reunited, as Simon was laid to rest next to his wife yesterday.

According to People, 75 friends and family gathered in Los Angeles to pay their respects to Brittany Murphy; husband who died on Sunday.

The ceremony was a private orthodox Jewish affair and took place at the Chapel of the Hills. Simon was then buried next to his wife at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family’s spokesperson said: "It was Simon's wish to be laid to rest next to her.”

He added that Brittany’s mother spoke at the ceremony: "Sharon was very strong and spoke and about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together.

"She told them 'I'll miss you my babies.' "

Sharon found Simon unconscious at their home on Sunday but paramedics were unable to revive him. It is believed he died of natural causes.
