And Columbian popstar, Shakira is taking her stand against a new immigration law in Arizona, that makes it a crime to be in the state illegally.
According to SkyShowbiz, Shakira is fighting against this law because she feels it goes against American ideals.
The star said: “I came here to lend my voice and offer my support to the Latino community and to express my public opposition on this law.
“In my opinion it dulls human and civil rights of citizens and non citizens.
“I am here as a Latina that believes in opportunity for all. We are concerned about the implementation of the law and the consequences it can have on the working families.”
