But JB has revealed that he may have been tempted to audition for American Idol had things not have turned out the way they have.
The One Time singer told MTV News US: "We used to watch the show. Me and my mom used to watch it when I was little and we were like, 'I could get on there, you know,'"
But luckily for Justin he didn’t need to…
"When I turned 16, I might have went and tried out, but this was faster,"
Justin will take part on the American Idol, Idol Gives Back special and was approached by the show to take part when he went to see his mentor Usher perform.
JB said: "It was great. I was just there. I didn't really work with any of the contestants. I was there supporting Usher when he performed."
