Russell Brand’s mouth has got him in trouble after he went too far in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.
The comedian has spoken put encouraging all “teenybopper” pop stars to take heroin so that some of them will die.
Russell backed up is idea saying it would “weed out” the singers who didn’t have any natural talent, therefore saving the music industry.
Russell has battled drugs in the past himself so should know better when it comes to flippant comments like these.
According to the Sun, Russ said: "The hit parade would look very different. We'd be spared their awful music.
"It would weed a lot of them out. I don’t think Justin Bieber could handle Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd’s habit. A lot of people in their journey to rehab overdose, and then, perhaps, we could be spared their awful music.
"It's Darwinian, the law of natural selection."
Unsurprisingly, anti-drug campaigners are less than impressed, calling his comments “idiocy”.
And we thought Russell was growing up after he propsed to Katy Perry!
