Jim Carrey has split with partner Jenny McCarthy after five years together and made the announcement on social networking site Twitter.
The comedy stars met in 2005 and seem to hold each other in high regard despite the break down of their relartionship.
Jim tweeted: “Jenny and I have just ended our five-year relationship. I'm grateful for the many blessings we've shared and I wish her the very best! S'okay!”
And he wasn't the only one to use Twitter as a way to break the nes, Jenny also let her followers know by tweeting: “I'm so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.”
We have to admit that we are quite shocked by the news as the couple were gushing over each other this Valentine's Day and Jenny even said “I love Jim in any form. He could have no arms and no legs and I'll love the stump of him” in an interview with E!Online just last month...
