Here at Entertainmentwise, we have some bad news to share with fans of the hit show 24.

Unfortunately it has been announced that after the current eighth season, Jack Bauer and co will be no more, as it has been axed.

Since it started in 2001, we have all become huugge fans of the series and to see Kiefer Sutherland run around acting all tough, got us hooked!

According to OK! Kiefer, who served as the executive producer, said in a statement: “This has been a role of a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my appreciation to everyone who made it possible.”

“While the end of the series is bittersweet, we always wanted 24 to finish on a high note, so the decision to make the eighth season our last was one we all agreed upon.  This feels like a culmination of all our efforts from the writers to the actors to our fantastic crew and everyone at FOX.”

But fear not 24 fans, a big screen version is in development...Wahey!!
