Please say it's not so! Have the girls who bought us Sound Of The Underground gone their separate ways?!

Well according to the Metro, Cheryl Cole, who has catapulted into solo success, spoke about the girl band in the past tense...

“The previous three tracks were with a girl group I was with for seven years- so to be number one solo was crazy, like the best feeling in the world.”

Did Cheryl just have a Freudian slip, because according to her spokesperson, “Cheryl is still a member of Girls Aloud. She was just putting her solo number one into context for an audience that would not be aware of Girls Aloud.”

Lets hope Cheryl is still part of the girl band because everyone loves a bit of Girls Aloud!
