Oh dear...did Ashley Cole ever think that his private life would stay just that?

It seems that he was under that illusion, as according to the Daily Star, Ashley is “terrified” over the rumours that Cheryl will spill the beans on her marriage to the footballer.

He's so scared that he has even tried to contact Cheryl to try and beg her not to say anything about their split.

Who does Ashley think he is? Should he be calling the shots after what he's done?

A source close to Ashley said: “There is lots of talk that Cheryl's going to reveal the details of their marriage now that they have split. But Ashley wants to try to talk her round.”

Will it work? We will just have to wait and see...
