Yesterday we reported that American Idol hopeful, Crystal Bowersox was hospitalised on Tuesday.

It was not known the reason for her hospitalisation but she sure didn't let it get in the way of singing her heart out on the American Idol stage last night.

And boy could she sing! Choosing, As Long As I Can See The Light by the Creedence Clearwater Revival, no-one would have ever guessed she had been hospitalised just two days earlier...

According to Digital Spy, the judges were just as impressed with Crystal as we were with Randy complimenting her on just being herself: “truth is reality...you are the truth and you do what you do.”

Ellen described Crystal as: “pure, raw, natural talent.”

Kara liked the way Crystal showed her “Americana rock roots” and how she made it look so “effortless.”

Simon commented on Crystal's performance, commending her on not playing the sympathy card and just getting on with it.

And shock horror! he even apologised because he “completely underestimated her” even comparing her to the first winner of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, “this was like the moment we realised with Kelly Clarkson that we've got a serious artist here.”

Woohoo! Well done Crystal! You did amazing!
