As the sun sets (or rain clouds gather, in the case of this years weather prediction) on the film event of the year the stars are keeping their outfit choices more secret than the goings on in Area 51.

This Sunday sees the Oscar's cermeony take place and ee look at three of the hottest stars in films.

Kristen Stewart

The Twilight star is famed as much for her grungy dress sense, not to mention relationship with co-star, hottie Robert Patterson as her acting.

Not one to fly too far from the nest we think the young actress will play it safe in something black, that's not too fussy of too Oscars.

With J. Mendel being a favourite designer or Stewart's we feel the rising star will go for one of her demure fitted black dresses.

Penelope Cruz

The Nine actress is tipped to scoop the Oscar for best supporting actress and if our predictions are correct she is also in line to take the best dressed prize.

Nobody oozes red carpet glamour like Cruz, the actress sticks to her roots keeping her outfits very flamboyant, very Spanish, very Cruz.

This year we think the starlet will go for a black flamenco inspired dress by Nina Ricci.

Anne Hathaway

The American starlet may have come a long way since her days in the hit the Princess Diaries, but she always looks like royalty on the red carpet favouring Armani as her designer of choice.

This year we think that actresses dress will be in keeping with her latest role as the white witch in Tim Burton's remake of Alice in Wonderland.

With these factors in mind we feel Hathaway will go for a full length white gown from the Armani Prive Spring 2010 couture collection.
