When we were seven-years-old we had all our hair cut off into a 'step' as we found it a lot easier to climb trees and make mud pies without our shiny locks falling in our face.

Even in the early 90's the step wasn't exactly acceptable for a seven-year-old girl, so we are puzzled to see Rihanna sporting one the colour of our dead pet  guinea pig...
