Flying onto the stage, Lily Allen opened the night with a very half arsed performance of The Fear. The biggest shock she gave was when she won an award for Best Female Artist.
The past year in music has been dominated by strong female acts, and so Lily was certain she wouldn't win the award. She was so certain that she even donned a ginger wig.
She said: "I only wore this orange wig cos I thought It would make it harder for the cameramen to find me when I didn't win and made my sad face."
Geri Halliwell and Mel B, who had very bling hair (yes, hair), were the only Spice Girls available to accept their award for Best Performance of the past 30 years.
They had so much screen time that if you'd have been playing a 'spot-the-Spice-Girl' drinking game you would've passed out by 9pm.
Everyone was on tenterhooks waiting for Cheryl Cole to make her stage appearance in her most hyped performance since the debut of Fight For This Love on X Factor.
But this time it wasn't a question of whether she was going to sing live or lip-sync, but whether she'd be able to hold back the tears after such a tough week.
In an apparent tribute to Michael Jackson, Cheryl wore aviator sunglasses. As well as referencing the late King of Pop, they also provided her with some cover; if there were any tears, no-one could tell.
But nothing could hide the fact that her lip-syncing was as out of order as her husband. In a brief interlude, a session singer provided the vocals to early 90's hit Show Me Love, and completely showed Cheryl up in the process.
