The annual BRIT Awards were held last night in London's Earls Court.

Peter Kay was a brilliant host, and a particular highlight was when he introduced JLS as an "All-black Bucks Fizz".

He also read our minds when he told off Liam Gallagher for his naughty behaviour. When accepting the award for the Best Album of the past 30 years, the Oasis frontman thanked everyone in the band bar his brother Noel, swore, then threw his award into the audience before swaggering off.

Both BRIT winners in their own rights, Florence Welch and Dizzee Rascal duetted on You Got The Dirtee Love. Singing live and surrounded by harps, the two performers gave even Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' later performance some competition.

Rockers Kasabian also lifted the whole show; just as it was about to get too dull, they launched into the euphoric Fire, and if the song wasn't enough to wake viewers up, the pyrotechnics certainly were.

JLS also performed, and walked away with two awards, were very humble, shaking their heads in shock after the winning feeling sunk in.

Robbie Williams closed the show with a medley of his greatest hits, although he did leave the audience to help him hit a few of the notes on Angels, he saw the night off in true entertaining style
