Pixie Lott is set to make it big Stateside thanks to a little help from pal Joe Jonas.

The pair met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin in November, and have been meeting for dinner dates since.

"I'm working with him in L.A. We wrote a song together in the studio, which I love, and we've been hanging out" she said.

According to OK!, the crooners are taking it easy: "We're not really partying because we aren't old enough to go to clubs in America - you have to be 21. So we go for dinner instead."

The Essex-born popstar added: "I imagine there are a lot of girls who are jealous of me at the moment. He's such a lovely guy."

She might do well to curb that attitude if she wants to break America. From what we gather, the girls are oh-so-protective over their Jonas boys!
