Since hearing that Tobey Maguire won't be returning to play the webby superhero, Spiderman, our hearts sank but they rose again when rumours surfaced that Twilight star Robert Pattinson was going to don the famous blue and red outfit.

But alas, its not meant to be as Rob told the Daily Record,

“I don't think I'm going to be playing Spiderman, even though I would quite like to do it.”

So who will take the coveted role, as well as Rob, rumours that High School Musical star Zac Efron and Logan Lerman are in the running.
