Peter Andre has decided it is now time for him to get the 'Katie' tattoo on his ring finger removed.

The couple separated in May 2009 after 4 years of marriage and Katie re-married last week to cage fighter Alex Reid.

Peter hadn't had the tattoo lazered before now as he didn't want to upset the kids. He told the News of the World, “I think it's time to get rid of the tattoo. I didn't do it before because of the kids. I didn't want them to ask, 'Why have you done that?'. But now it's the right thing to do." At least someone is thinking of their children in all this mess...

After Katie's latest shenannigans we really don't blame Peter for wanting every trace of his ex-wife removed.

The star covered up the tattoo with a plaster as he promoted his new fragrance in Manchester.
