Kristen Stewart has said her new movie Welcome To The Rileys is nothing like The Twilight Saga.
The 19-year-old actress plays a damaged stripper in the film – a role which is in stark contrast to her portrayal of schoolgirl Bella Swan in Twilight.
Speaking to MTV, Kristen said filming Welcome To The Rileys was a unique experience compared to her previous film roles.
"This ... was different from any movie that I've done. How do you describe a feeling? I don't know,” she said.
“It just felt so completely right to be telling this story with [director Jake Scott] and [Melissa Leo] and Jim [Gandolfini], and that's different to any acting I've ever done."
When asked why the part felt “right”, Kristen replied: "You have moments of that [in other roles], but you never have that for an entire movie, and I had that on this.
“But I have moments on Twilight all the time. That's the only reason I'm able to do it."
Welcome To The Rileys was one of two films starring Kristen that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week.
The other, The Runaways, sees her star as singer Joan Jett in a biopic about the 1970s all-female girl band.
