Despite a recent holiday in Mexico with baseball player Matt Kemp, Rihanna won’t be on his arm at the Grammys.

She told an LA radio station: "I'm going to the Grammys alone, as always! Even when I was in a relationship, I always have gone alone."

"I'm still single, if that's what you really want to ask!"

The star is up for an award alongside Jay-Z and Kanye West for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration on their song Run This Town.

But she won’t be performing, as she doubts the Grammys want her after her altercation with Chris Brown shortly before last year's ceremony.

On another radio show, hosted by Carson Daly, she said: "We messed their show up pretty bad last year”

"They might be a little mad at me."

The event marks a year since Chris Brown’s violent attack on the Disturbia singer, which forced her to cancel her scheduled appearance at the last minute.
