Pete Doherty is set to be questioned over the death of a former girlfriend, it's been reported.
Robin Whitehead died in the East End flat they used to share on Sunday.
It is believed that Whitehead died of an overdose, and police are treating the death as non-suspicious.
But Met sources have revealed that Pete will be questioned as part of the investigation into who provided her with the drugs.
Speaking with The Sun, a friend claimed: "Peter had been at the flat on Saturday night and left a lot of drugs behind rather than take them with him, because he's such an easy target for the police to search.
"Robin had been using heroin and crack cocaine. She also took some Valium to get to sleep and never woke up."
Friend and musical collaborator Peter ‘Wolfman’ Wolfe denied that Pete had been in the flat at the weekend.
Whitehead, 27, a member of the wealthy Goldsmith family, died just days before Pete was given his 22nd drugs conviction.
