Poor Jessica Simpson was left felling a little red faced when she farted during a business meeting for her new denim line, it's been reported.

The popstar and actress let one rip whilst sitting in a room with executives. 

An insider told UsWeekly: “While one of the executives was speaking in a room full of five people, Jessica let out a very large fart.”

Just when it couldn't get any worse for the blonde star, the insider revealed that the release of gas prompted her mother, Tina, who was in the room at the time, “to turn around and yell “Jessica!”. The tension was extreme. No one knew what to say.”


Jessica Simpson was left red-faced when she farted at meeting.

However, this wasn't Simpson's first public flatulence.

When she was starring alongside ex-husband Nick Lachey in their reality show, Newlyweds, Jessica let one go, telling her husband, “you love my stinky ass".

The star said recently that she wanted to launch a denim brand because "a girl's booty needs to look good".
