Brad Pitt has bought a new property in Los Angeles amid reports he is set to split from girlfriend Angelina Jolie, it's been claimed.

The actor is understood to have spent £700,000 on the house in the Hollywood Hills, which boasts two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

As well as a bar, the property also features a cave built within its foundations, according to the Daily Mail.

A source said: “The house oozes character. Brad has had his eye on it for some time but he decided now was the right time to buy because he wanted a place to call his own.

“He needs somewhere quiet that doesn't have memories of Angie and where he can be alone and think about what he does next.”

The 46-year-old actor's reported purchase comes amid fresh speculation that his relationship with Angelina is on the rocks.

On Sunday, it was claimed the pair – who are not married – had consulted a divorce lawyer for advice on how to end their relationship amicably.

But multiple sources have also rubbished the claims, with one insisting that “everything is fine” with the couple.
