Normally famous for her fiery red hair, actress Nicole Kidman has decided to welcome in the New Year with a new look: brunette.

After experimenting with blonde in recent years, the 42-year-old star's new hair colour made its debut at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angles over the weekend.

With her hair loose and wavy, the actress appeared on stage with her co-stars from the film, Nine, to give out an award.


Nicole Kidman is joined on stage by Nine co-stars Penelope Cruz and Kate Hudson.

The star wore a golden Aztec inspired dress, which complimented her new hair colour.

Although Kidman, along with her co stars from Nine, failed to win an award, the actress's new look went down well with onlookers.
