Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still in love, despite reports that they are set to split.
It had been claimed that the couple – who are not married – had consulted a divorce lawyer for advice on how to end their relationship amicably.
But a new report says the pair are determined to stay together for the sake of their six children despite being “pretty miserable” together.
“To all intents and purposes their relationship has turned into one of convenience, principally for the kids sakes,” a source told the Daily Mirror.
“But they still love each other and they will always put the children first so it seems unlikely they will separate any time soon.
“They would rather just muddle along.”
The insider added: “They both want to work at things though, and not just turn their backs on five years at the drop of a hat.”
Multiple sources have already denied Sunday's report in the News of the World that Brad and Angelina are set to split.
The couple, whose six children include try who are adopted, met in 2004 on the set of the fil,m Mr and Mrs Smith.
