A judge has confirmed that the Boyzone star died of natural causes whilst on holiday in Majorca last October.
The decision was made by investigating judge Carmen Abrines after studying police and pathology reports and interviewing Gately's husband Andy Cowles.
She said: "At no moment in the police investigation, or in the autopsy, were there any indications of violence."
Although the singer, 33, had smoked cannabis and drunk alcohol before he died, these were not factors in his death.
According to digital spy, the remaining members of Boyzone have spoken to the Sydney Herald Sun of how they may never perform songs on which Stephen sang lead vocals, again. They said it would be “tough” to erase the distinctive style of Gately and are finding working as a four piece “bizarre”.
